Sparked by the interest generated by the 2017 referendum on Municipal status, the Alliance has initiated a process to identify, research, prioritize, and work to resolve issues of community concern.

The purpose of the Salt Spring Community Alliance is to support a diverse group of islanders to work together on community issues by:

​

-              identifying, researching, and prioritizing issues,

-              facilitating the exchange of information and resources, 

-              facilitating connection, collaboration and consensus-building and

-              identifying strategic solutions

 

We will carry out our purposes using the following values: compassion, kindness, respect and open/accessible processes, and the active pursuit of a diversity of people and perspectives.
